30 Seconds to Mars canceled their performance as the primary performer at Pukkelpop Festival in 2011, near Hasselt, Belgium on Thursday (18/08/2011) local time, after the three fans were killed in the festival because the stage collapsed on the same afternoon. The Stage called Chateu collapsed when the U.S. rock group, The Smith Western scheduled to appear in the afternoon in a three-day festival. Reported, presumably because the stage collapsed masts buffer was hit by a falling tree roots because of thunderstorms.
Jared Leto, 30 Seconds to Mars vocalist, rock band from the United States, which is scheduled to appear on Friday (19/08/2011) night local time, soon spread information about the incident with the fans via Twitter account. He also warned the audience of the festival of bad weather.
"Four stages down - still raining thunder if you are here please be safe... Serious injuries at the festival. More bad weather poss (possibly) heading this way. Please take care and caution".
Leto and his band decide to canceled their performance to respect the victims.
"Our deepest thoughts and sympathies to the families and friends of those who lost their lives today at the show in Belgium. We are absolutely devastated that this celebration ended in tragedy. To those that were injured we are sending thoughts and prayers," tulisnya pada situs resmi band itu.
