New Music: Avril Lavigne "Self Titled" Fifth Studio Album

Avril Lavigne is the upcoming self-titled fifth studio album by Canadian singer-songwriter Avril Lavigne. The album is scheduled to be released on 24 September 2013 by Epic Records, as the follow-up to her fourth studio album, Goodbye Lullaby (2011). Recording sessions began in November 2011, and took place over a period of almost two years, concluding in July 2013. The lead single, "Here's to Never Growing Up", was released on 9 April 2013 and was a success; reaching the top twenty in the United States, Canada, Australia and United Kingdom, and the top ten in Ireland and Japan. Lavigne premiered the second single, "Rock N Roll", on 18 July 2013, it will be released on 27 August, with the music video premiering a week earlier on 20 August.

Three months after the release of Goodbye Lullaby, Lavigne announced that work on her fifth studio album had already begun, with eight songs written so far. Lavigne stated that the album would musically be the opposite of Goodbye Lullaby, with a release date rumoured for sometime in 2012 Lavigne explained, "Goodbye Lullaby was more mellow, [but] the next one will be pop and more fun again. I already have a song that I know is going to be a single, I just need to re-record it! In late 2011, Lavigne confirmed that she had moved to Epic Records, which is now headed by L.A. Reid. It was announced in July 2013 that the album would be released on 24 September 2013. On August 8, 2013, Lavigne revealed the cover art for the album via her Instagram account.

"The record's really diverse," Lavigne told Billboard earlier this year. "Basically, this album I wanted to still have... emotional, heartfelt ballads, but I also wanted to make this record a little more upbeat and feel-good. And that's also the place that I'm in in my life."

New Music: Katy Perry Fourth Studio Album "Prism" vs Lady Gaga Third Studio Album "Art Pop"

Prism is the upcoming fourth studio album by American singer-songwriter Katy Perry. The album is scheduled to be released on October 22, 2013, by Capitol Records, as the follow up to her third album, Teenage Dream (2010). The album is preceded by the release of its lead single, "Roar", which made its radio debut on August 10, 2013 and was released onto iTunes and YouTube on August 12, 2013.

"This new song is called 'Roar.' It's a bit of a self-empowering type of song," she said. "I wrote it because I was sick of keeping all these feelings inside and not speaking up for myself, which caused a lot of resentment." She went on to say that she has been to therapy since her last album, which influenced her new music."Obviously I've been through a lot of therapy since my last record and that's what this is about," she said. Although Perry did not specifically say that the therapy was a result of her divorce from comedian Russell Brand, the timing does coincide. Brand filed for divorce from the pop star in late December 2011 after just over a year of marriage. Her last album, "Teenage Dream," originally hit shelves in 2010; an updated release came out in March 2012. 

Perry told Billboard in late 2012 that she wants to take some time off before starting recording her third album, stating: "I'm an adult and what I'm not going to do is hurry up to fail, to shoot myself in the foot. I need to live so I have something worth singing about. That's always been the case for me." She also stated: "I know exactly the record I want to make next. I know the artwork, the coloring and the tone..... I even know what type of tour I'm doing next. I'll be very pleased if the vision I have in my head becomes a reality." However, Perry mentioned that she does not want the album to be a "Teenage Dream 2.0", stating: "That would be silly. It's not of any interest for me to try and outdo myself at every corner. 

Katy Perry's promotional gold 18-wheeler truck was hit by an alleged drunk driver on Friday (August 9). According to TMZ, the incident occurred while the truck was parked in a lot outside a Walmart store in Pennsylvania. Perry wasn't inside the truck at the time and nobody was injured in the collision. Perry later used Twitter to reassure fans that the truck, which displays the title and release date of her forthcoming album 'Prism', hasn't been seriously damaged.

Lady Gaga might live to regret pushing the release of “Applause” forward a week. Instead of leaping to number one within hours as many observers expected, the highly-anticipated single failed to topple Katy Perry‘s “Roar” from the top spot and then, to add insult to injury, fell back to number three this afternoon (August 15) behind Robin Thicke‘s all-conquering “Blurred Lines”. The one-spot drop was enough to spook Little Monsters and many began to wonder if the DJ White Shadow-produced ode to hip surgery was, in fact, flopping. It didn’t take Gaga long to go into damage control — jumping on Twitter to point out the track’s international success and reminding fans that “Applause” doesn’t officially impact radio until August 19. Mother Monster is right, of course. It’s way too early to call “Applause” a chart disappointment but it must be unsettling that Katy has dominated so overwhelmingly. Lady Gaga's ARTPOP is still a a few months away, but the pop star has been steeling herself for backlash in many of her early public statements about the LP. "Dont focus on ANY blogger criticism. I have been a producer/songwriter/musician for over 10 years. Trust the artist bloggers are not critics," she tweeted on August 11. In a follow-up post, she added, "#STOPHarassingTheArtist we are here to entertain you." Discussing the decision making which went into choosing the album's lead single, she added: "It's an incredible process choosing the first single. You just play the music and see who gets drunk and takes their shirt off first." Meanwhile, producer DJ White Shadow – who worked with Gaga on the record – said that the singer had written a huge mass of material for the LP. "It's a result of her dedication," he said. "We wrote 70-100 songs over the course of two and half years. This time we tried to have as much fun as we possibly could and then brought them to our friends and said, 'What do you think?'"

The concepts and themes of the album began developing in December 2011. While performing a concert in Australia, Gaga previewed a song titled "Princess Die", a song with suicidal themes that was written about Princess Diana and her death. Gaga stated that the version of "Princess Die" she performed likely will not be included on Artpop, but a more upbeat dance version of the track may possibly make the final tracklist. She also declared that this album will demonstrate a "lack of maturity and responsibility", and that Artpop is contrast to the themes that were displayed in her previous album Born This Way. In November, Gaga revealed via her Twitter that she wrote "like 50 songs" to be considered for inclusion on Artpop. In an interview with Ryan Seacrest, Gaga revealed that “ARTPOP is a celebration and a poetic musical journey through my friends and I hanging out and enjoying being pop stars.” Gaga described the album as being a "reverse Warholian experience." The Warholian experience is a direct reference to artist Andy Warhol, whose philosphophy was to take popular things and make them art. Gaga's goal with ARTPOP is to do the opposite of this. On her website during 2012, Gaga revealed that Artpop will contain complextro, J-pop, dance and what she describes as "underground gay Chicago trap." Gaga and her producers took an experimental approach to the album. According to producer Zedd, "There was one song that started from her just giving me, like, ten words to describe an emotion, and then I had to make this into music." According to Gaga, the point of Artpop is so pop and art can have an exchange. Gaga was much happier when writing this album than she was with her previous albums. She described Artpop as her "first real album" and that it emulated a "phoenix rising from the ashes."

Travel & Tourism: Raja Ampat Islands, The Island of The Kings

The name of Raja Ampat comes from local mythology that tells about a woman who finds seven eggs. Four of the seven eggs hatch and become kings that occupy four of Raja Ampat biggest islands whilst the other three become a ghost, a woman, and a stone.

History shows that Raja Ampat was once a part of Tidore Kingdom, an influential kingdom from Maluku. Yet, after the Dutch invaded Maluku, it was shortly claimed by the Netherlands. The main occupation for people around this area is fishing since the area is dominated by the sea. They live in a small colony of tribes that spreads around the area. Although traditional culture still strongly exists, they are very welcoming to visitors. Their religion is dominantly Christian.

Located off the northwest tip of Bird's Head Peninsula on the island of New Guinea, in Indonesia's West Papua province, Raja Ampat, or the Four Kings, is an archipelago comprising over 1,500 small islands, cays, and shoals surrounding the four main islands of Misool, Salawati, Batanta, and Waigeo, and the smaller island of Kofiau.

Raja Ampat Regency is a new regency which separated from Sorong Regency in 2004. It encompasses more than 40,000 km² of land and sea, which also contains Cenderawasih Bay, the largest marine national park in Indonesia. It is a part of the newly named West Papua (province) of Indonesia which was formerly Irian Jaya. Some of the islands are the most northern pieces of land in the Australian continent.

As stunningly beautiful above water as it is below, Raja Ampat (which literally translates as “The Four Kings”) has a startling diversity of habitats to explore. Each of these – from the stark wave-pounded slopes that drop away beneath the karst cliffs of Wayag and Uranie to the deep, nutrient-rich bays of Mayalibit, Kabui and Aljui to the “blue water mangrove” channels of Kofiau and Gam to the plankton-rich upwelling areas of Misool and the Dampier Strait – are home to unique assemblages of species that, when taken together, add to produce the most impressive species lists ever compiled for a coral reef system of this size. Marine tourism, as a sustainable alternative to overfishing, mining, and logging, has the potential to play a key role in the conservation of Raja Ampat’s spectacular underwater realm, while also creating real benefits for the local communities. Raja Ampat is home to many endemic species, like the ‘walking sharks’. Still today scientists travel here to find new species. Both above and below. However expect to see large numbers of schooling fish, manta rays, various species of pygmy seahorses, wobbegongs, bumphead parrot fish, giant trevally, barracuda and just about every reef fish and critter in the books. All of this is set against a vibrant backdrop of the world’s healthiest hard and soft corals. On land expect a lot of birds and other wildlife like lizards and the Cuscus – a furry marsupial that often can be spotted in the evenings.

TRAVELING TO RAJA AMPAT

The common route chosen by tourists to reach the islands of Raja Ampat is traveling by air to the town of Sorong, West Papua. When this writing is made, the aircraft landing at the airport in city of Sorong (SOQ), the flight from the city of Manado (MDC), Ambon (AMQ), Makassar (UPG), Denpasar (DPS) and direct flights from Jakarta (CKG). The airlines serving flights to Sorong city include: Sriwijaya Air, Merpati, Air Express, and Lion Air. There is no direct international flight routes to the city of Sorong.

For foreign tourists like Malaysia, Singapore and Australia, search can be made from the route connecting flight to Sorong city from Jakarta, Denpasar and Makassar. Please look at flight map carefully. From Sorong, the journey to Raja Ampat Islands is resumed by Marina Express boat, Ave Maria boat or speed boat chartering from the Pelabuhan Rakyat, the city of Sorong. Departure time for Marina Express Ferry is at 14.00 local time and the Ave Maria boat usually departs within 1-2 hours thereafter.

For those wishing to charter speedboat saling over to Raja Ampat Islands, the ideal time to get across is before 12:00 am local time or before the rising of sea water due to tidal waves. The speedboat usually smaller than the Marina Express boat makes it more sensitive to wave shock.

A special note should be obeyed by anyone who wants to sail to the Raja Ampat Islands by speedboat: if your Boat Master decides to postpone the departure of the boat due to inclement weather or a tidal rise or something else. then you must obey him. Never try negotiate or push the departure or you and your group to the boat captain. Travel & Tourism : Kawah Putih (White Crater) - Beautiful Volcanic Crater in West Java, Indonesia

Kawah Putih (English: White Crater) is a striking crater lake and tourist spot in a volcanic crater about 50 km south of Bandung in West Java in Indonesia.

Kawah Putih lake (7.10° S 107.24° E) is one of the two craters which make up Mount Patuha, an andesitic strato volcano (a "composite" volcano). Mt Patuha is one of numerous volcanoes in Java. Kawah Putih crater lake itself represents a relatively stable volcanic system with no records of significant activity since around 1600.

The Kawah Putih site was opened to visitors in 1987. The lake is 2,430 meters above sea level so the local climate is often quite chilly (temperatures are frequently around 10 degrees celsius). This makes a brisk change from the humidity of the north Java plain and the capital city of Jakarta. Kawah Putih is a sizeable highly acid lake (pH 0.5-1.3) which changes colour from bluish to whitish green, or brown, depending on the concentration of sulfur and the temperature or the oxidation state. The sand and rocks surrounding the lake have been also leached into whitish colours through interaction with the acidic lake waters (with possible mineral precipitation as well).

The surrounding area is heavily forested. There is a pathway down to the lake which is surrounded by the high walls of the crater nestling into the side of Mt Patuha. The smell of sulfur is strong because there is a good deal of steam and sulfurous gas bubbling from the lake. There are tracks around the lake and through the nearby forest including to the peak of Mt Patuha. Visitors can walk around the crater area or sit in the various shelters. Local plants not widely found in lower altitudes in Java include javanese Edelweiss and Cantigy (Vaccinium varingifolium). Animals and birds which may be spotted include eagles, owls, monkeys, mouse deer, and forest pigs. Panthers, leopards and pythons have also sometimes been seen in the nearby forest.

A range of simple facilities exists near the lake. There is ample parking and public toilets. Entrepreneurial vendors sell trinkets and food. The site is well-signposted. Local farmers often take the opportunity to sell strawberries (widely grown in the area), steamed corn, and various other items such as pumpkin seeds (pepita).

Kawah Putih and the surrounding area (where there are resort facilities such as hot spas) is a popular spot for people from Bandung. On weekends and on holidays, quite large numbers of Indonesian tourists visit Kawah Putih. The site is so far less well-known to international tourists. According to Perhutani staff at the site, up to 10,000 people might visit on busy holidays and the total number of visitors is perhaps 300,000 per year.

Access is gained from the left of the main road travelling south by entering the park and proceeding along a 5 km access road. Travel time from the centre of Bandung, depending on traffic in and around Bandung, is perhaps two hours. The turnoff from the main road to Kawah Putih is hard to miss: there is a large signboard to the left of the main road and a prominent entry gate. The entry facilities and the crater location are well-managed by staff from the state-owned forestry firm Perhutani.

The usual arrangement is for visitors to leave their vehicles in a main carpark at the entry to the site and catch one of the regular mini shuttlebuses (leaving every five minutes or so) for the 5 km to the crater. For Indonesian citizens, the cost of entry to the site (October 2011) is Rp 15,000 plus Rp 5,000 for the return minibus ride (total of Rp 20,000, around $US 2.20). Charges for foreign visitors are slightly higher. Visitors who prefer to drive in their own vehicles up to the crater must pay a significantly higher charge (Rp 150,000, or $US 17 per vehicle plus tickets for passengers). Tickets are issued by Perhutani staff and include insurance while at the location.

The main road is the busy road south from Bandung through the town of Soreang, the capital of the Bandung District, continuing down through the crowded Pasir Jambu township. Minibuses ply the route southwards from Bandung and, depending on traffic, can take up to two hours to reach the entrance to the Kawah Putih area. There are many thousands of small market-crop farmers in the fertile valley to the south of Bandung which leads up towards the Kawah Putih area. Local food-crops grown include a wide range of fruits and vegetables. A strawberry industry is well-established in the area and many strawberry farms have fruit for sale along the side of the highway.

Accommodation is available at various hotels in the Patuha area close to the nearby town of Ciwidey and also in Soreang.

The carriage will bring us to the end of the east coast of Parangtritis Beach where the cluster of rocks that is so beautiful , so it is often used as the spot of a pre-wedding photo shoot. The dim twilight and golden shade of the sun on the water surface more raise a romantic atmosphere.

Parangtritis Beach also offers the excitement for those who travel with family. Kite-flying with your child is also enjoyable. The strong sea breeze is very helpful to make a kite flying high, even if you've never played a kite.

Whitney Houston.....We Will Always Love You....!

It has been confirmed by the Los Angeles police, Saturday (11/2/2012) local time, Whitney died in her room where she was staying at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, Beverly Hills (California). But, the authorities had not released the information about cause of the death of woman who born in Newark, New Jersey (USA), August 9, 1963. Apart from it, relates to the Grammy Awards, Whitney has won six awards. Her first album, entitled 'Whitney Houston' which released in 1985, was nominated for the prestigious category; Album of the Year. She won her first Grammy award in that year for Best Pop Vocal Performance Female. She took home the trophy in the shape of the phonograph for her number one hit "Saving All My Love For You".

Her success continues until the mid-1990s. In 1987, she was nominated for Record of the Year with the song ' Greatest Love of All ' as well as being nominee and award-winning for Best Pop Vocal Performance Female, for the song ' I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me) '. Later, in 1993 for the song entitled ' I Will Always Love You' which produced trophy Record of the Year, while the original soundtrack album of The film The Bodyguard, becoming Album of the Year.
